IECP’s Mission Statement

To support schools, families, and community agencies in providing full access to life’s experiences for individuals with disabilities.  This includes making friends, playing, accessing school and community, learning, loving, being loved, and living life to the fullest.

IECP's Philosophy Statement

Child behaviors are the result of the interaction between the child and the environment.  This interaction is influenced and effected by the skills and understandings of all participants within these environments.  Healthy behaviors are the result of a healthy match between these two entities.  Creating a healthy environment frequently requires education of the transactional partners within a child’s environment and adaptations to that environment, as well as instruction to the child in the developmental and foundational areas that are the basis of identified challenging behaviors.  Although identifying and implementing strategies that immediately address challenging behaviors and teach replacement behaviors is important, the goal should always be to develop the long-term, healthy match and functioning of both child and environment.

IECP’s Vision and Commitment

  • Our vision and commitment is that all individuals can succeed in inclusive environments.
  • We will work collaboratively with families, schools and community agencies to ensure each individual’s success.
  • We will practice values that model tolerance and appreciation for all individuals.
